Self Reflection: A Poem by Corey

Finding yourself can be like traversing a house

of mirrors with no direction

Each reflection a different version of you

through someone elses perception

But if you believe you are the person you see in

everyones eye

you will be chasing those false projections

until you fall down and cry

Relax let go and realise by looking through

others you yourself have been blind

In fact that house of mirrors has always been

in your mind

As each mirror disappears you will find the

path becomes clear

That inside voice drowned out for so long you can now hear

So do what makes you happy and you will see

that your joy shines through

Because there’s only one person you should

live through and that person is you!
