Meet Your Hypnotherapist

Bonnie is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and Clinical Hypnotherapist who brings together lived experience, professional training, and a grounded, compassionate approach to recovery. Her work is shaped by her own 15-year experience with an eating disorder, which gives her a deep understanding of how automatic, overwhelming, and exhausting these patterns can feel.

Through her training in subconscious work, nutrition, and mind–body healing, Bonnie helps clients shift the reactions and beliefs that keep them stuck. Clients often share that they feel understood, safe, and supported in a way they haven’t experienced before.

How Hypnotherapy Works in Your Sessions

Hypnotherapy is introduced gently and only when you’re ready. Clinical hypnotherapy is a tool used to help guide you to safely connect with deeper parts of your mind called the subconscious or the unconscious. This part of us directs many of our daily actions, thoughts and feelings. Around 95% of what we do in a day is unconsciously generated which means that it is a powerful ally when it is working for us.

However, unfortunately and commonly we can develop unconscious patterns, thoughts, feelings and behaviours that don't entirely work for us. This is where we can become stuck - wanting consciously to change but finding ourselves in a battle against our own mind and body.

Bonnie will guide you with confidence and ease on how to access the state of hypnosis where your mind is calm and more open to exploring change - at the level where it matters. From there you'll work with the deeper patterns, beliefs and automatic reactions that sit below the eating disorder behaviours.
