Crave

I raced from pebble to pebble,

exhausted,

confused,

alone.

Desperately seeking another

and another

and another.

I wanted the smooth ones.

My body craved for the warm ones,

the bright and kind ones

but

there was none left, and I accepted the cold ones,

the jagged ones,

the broken ones

that grazed my palms

and cut into my flesh

as I grasped at them,

exhausted,

confused,

alone.

I imagined a mirage of pebbles where there were none.

I chased them,

caught them

and held on

to something that wasn’t solid and real,

to something that had never been.

Exhausted,

confused,

alone.

With my whole heart I hope you find the love which lifts you up so you can soar together.

Become Great. Live Great.

Bonnie.
